My Thanks
This institute has been such an life changing experience, and I am very grateful that I got to be a part of it. First of all, I would like to thank National History Day for making this possible and organizing the whole institute.
I would also like to thank Alex Gonzalez for the tremendous help and information that he provided for me. I am immensely grateful to him and his family; I feel a connection to them through my research about Brigido.
Huge thanks to Cathy Gorn for putting up with us, and also to Lynne O'Hara for setting everything up. Nathan Huegen, my mentor, helped me with researching Brigido and also offered insight into the readings, thank you.
A huge thank you to my teacher Mrs. O'Day for choosing my essay and helping me throughout the trip, and also for being such an amazing AP World teacher.
Thank you so much Albert Small for funding and putting into creation this institute, it is certainly worth every penny.
I would also like to thank Mr. Wickersham from Elko County High School for providing me with pictures and information when asked.
When all my pictures and video were lost, the rest of the group provided me with more than enough. I would like to thank Mr. Joe Boyle for his amazing photographs, Moni Hourt for her CD, and also Dr. Long for his CD and extensive knowledge about anything related to WWII.
I also want to thank the rest of the Normandy Scholars for being such amazing people, I am so grateful that I got to meet all of you guys!
